Write to usAn old Picard farmhouse carefully restored, nestled in the heart of a wooded park. Here time slows, the rooms are large and full of light, and every detail echoes the history of the house.
It was at the end of the 19th century that this manor was built in the heart of the Picard countryside, on land once planted with orchards and kitchen gardens. For three generations, the family lived here in step with the seasons — tending the land, raising children, welcoming friends and relatives in its vast, light-filled rooms. The great cobbled courtyard was the beating heart of the estate: a place for games, for work, and for gathering.
The house fell quiet at the turn of the century, and waited. In 2022, we pushed open its doors with a simple ambition: to give it back its dignity without erasing the traces of time. Original tiles, blue shutters, ancient timbers — everything that gave this house its character has been preserved and carefully restored.
« Le Quesnoy is where my heart comes to rest. This family home breathes history and warmth, and nothing makes me happier than welcoming new faces — whether you are coming from far away or finding your way back to your roots. » — Emmanuel
Three individually styled guest rooms, each with its own character. Generous proportions, warm parquet floors, careful furnishings, and garden views.
La Chambre Granny
First floor · Family suite · Private bathroom
A suite of two connecting rooms: a large parent room with double bed, old parquet and a period desk, and a children's room with two single beds. Garden views from both rooms.
La Chambre Aubergine
First floor · Garden views · Private bathroom
A warm room with an aubergine accent wall and pine parquet. Two windows open onto the garden. The en-suite bathroom, tiled in deep green, blends a vintage basin with a modern shower.
La Chambre Oiseaux
First floor · Period fireplace · Park views
The most elegant of the three. An antique fireplace crowned by a carved overmantel mirror, a period secretaire, and large windows opening onto the park. A quietly timeless atmosphere.
Côté Cour has the charm of a house that has lived through time and kept the memory of all who have called it home. The floorboards have character, the garden is large and a little wild, and the peacocks — who rule the courtyard — make themselves known from dawn. Deer sometimes cross the grounds at dusk. Hares have made their home in the long grass. This house has space, and the particular warmth of a home that has been loved across generations.
We welcome those who want to truly settle in — two nights, three, or longer. To read by the fire, paint, hold a seminar, gather with family or friends and put the world to rights over a good meal. For those who like things to be beautiful and real, and who find more charm in a creaking old floor than in the anonymity of a room without a story. The house is old, but it is connected: fibre optic broadband is installed, for those who need to stay reachable.
Step outside and discover: forest trails, wine routes, market towns, and the gentle pace of the Picard countryside.
